Skype is the ideal choice for arranging online\u00a0meetings between academics, professional staff or external colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>Our friends in Information Technology have made a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/teaching-learning-facilities\/2018\/03\/08\/meeting-online-use-skype-for-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new interactive tutorial<\/a>\u00a0(published on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/teaching-learning-facilities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Learning and Teaching Facilities blog<\/a>) that\u00a0shows you how easy it is to schedule and join\u00a0a meeting using the Outlook Calendar\u00a0and information for external contacts to join using the Web App.<\/p>\n<h2>How can I\u00a0meet my students online?<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1309\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2015\/04\/Collaborate-300x137.png\" alt=\"Blackboard Collaborate logo\" width=\"280\" height=\"128\" \/>The ability to use Skype\u00a0between\u00a0staff joins the existing\u00a0option to <strong>hold &#8216;real-time&#8217; lessons and meetings with your students using <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/support-blackboard\/collaborate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blackboard Collaborate Ultra<\/a><\/strong>.
