We&#8217;ve also been keen to make it more responsive and give a better experience when using it on mobile devices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What will I need to do before logging in for the first time? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Edit 22\/09\/18: it should no longer be necessary to clear browsing data before logging on to Blackboard<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Before logging in, you will need to clear the browsing data from the web browser you use, e.g. Chrome, Firefox. Don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t know what this means or how to do it \u2013 just click for guidance on the link below for the browser you use:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/answer\/2392709?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&amp;hl=en\">Chrome<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/kb\/how-clear-firefox-cache\">Firefox<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-gb\/guide\/safari\/clear-your-browsing-history-sfri47acf5d6\/mac\">Safari&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/help\/10607\/microsoft-edge-view-delete-browser-history\">Edge<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*You are advised not to use the Internet Explorer browser when using Blackboard*<\/p>\n<p>Mobile browsers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-gb\/HT201265\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Safari on iOS<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/answer\/2392709?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&amp;hl=en&amp;oco=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chrome on Android<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/answer\/2392709?co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS&amp;hl=en&amp;oco=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chrome on iOS<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/uk\/support\/mobile-devices\/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-history-or-cookies-on-the-internet-browser-on-galaxy-device\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Samsung Internet<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How will it look?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The new log-in screen will present like this (use your university user-name and password to log in):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2018\/08\/New_Login_Page-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4207\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2018\/08\/New_Login_Page-1.png\" alt=\"Image of new Blackboard log-in page\" width=\"554\" height=\"312\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once logged in, you will find yourself on the <strong>My Blackboard<\/strong> tab (shown below) where you will find your modules, your organisations, relevant announcements and module evaluation surveys.&nbsp;<!--more--> &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2018\/08\/New_Student_View-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4236\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2018\/08\/New_Student_View-1.png\" alt=\"Image of student view of new My Blackboard tab \" width=\"567\" height=\"344\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You will also see three other tabs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your <strong>school portal tab<\/strong> \u2013 with information posted for you by your school.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Blackboard Help<\/strong> \u2013 for help on using Blackboard, including submitting assignments online and accessing your marks and feedback.<\/li>\n<li><strong>My Files<\/strong> \u2013 a file-sharing area where you can store documents and share with others inside Blackboard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Students in Henley Business School will see a slightly different image once logged in.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Will it work differently?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Blackboard&#8217;s functionality remains the same &#8211;
