Improving the ability for students to recognise where and how to access to their feedback when looking at the \u2018My Grades\u2019 screen has been the key objective of this enhancement.<\/p>\n<p>This revised design is now live in Blackboard and available to students.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-4400 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2019\/01\/My-Grades-2-1024x624.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"390\"><\/p>\n<p>This improvement means that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Greater prominence has been given to the link a student clicks on to access their feedback for an assignment<\/strong>, reducing the dominance of the mark.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>availability of feedback is<\/strong> <strong>highlighted to a student by a large clickable button<\/strong>, clearly labelled \u2018Title of assignment &#8211; View Feedback\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>The details and status of assignments are more visible, having increased the size of the text and adjusted line spacing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>functionality of the \u2018My Grades\u2019 screen has not changed<\/strong> but the re-design should <strong>improve usability for your students.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When a student clicks on the \u2018View Feedback\u2019 button for an assignment they will be able to open a view of their submitted work that shows all the feedback that the marker has provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The \u2018My Grades\u2019 screen is also responsive<\/strong>, allowing it to resize appropriately when students view it on the smaller screens of mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>Students have been notified of this enhancement in a news article on the me@reading portal.<\/p>\n<p>Existing support materials on how to access and view feedback, currently highlighted to students on the \u2018My Blackboard\u2019 page, also include this information.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the main ways that students can access the marks and feedback provided for online assignments is via the \u2018My Grades\u2019 tool in Blackboard.
