{"id":4551,"date":"2019-06-05T15:29:08","date_gmt":"2019-06-05T15:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/?p=4551"},"modified":"2019-06-05T15:29:08","modified_gmt":"2019-06-05T15:29:08","slug":"blackboard-course-rollover-2019-course-copy-request-form-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/2019\/06\/05\/blackboard-course-rollover-2019-course-copy-request-form-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackboard Course Rollover 2019 &#8211; Course Copy Request form now a..."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bb.reading.ac.uk\/bbcswebdav\/pid-218675-dt-announcement-rid-12525876_1\/xid-12525876_1\" alt=\"Maintenance icon\" width=\"109\" height=\"100\"><\/p>\n<p>Course rollover is the annual process whereby Blackboard courses from the current academic year are copied for use in the next academic year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course rollover for 2019-20 will take place on Saturday 29th&nbsp;June 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackboard downtime will be required, approximately 08:00 \u2013 17:00 BST.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The process for 2019-20 will follow a very similar pattern to last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are responsible for a RISIS module or programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>which was <strong>used in Blackboard in the current academic year<\/strong> (i.e. in 2018-19)<\/li>\n<li>and is <strong>scheduled to run again in the new academic year<\/strong> (i.e. in 2019-20)<\/li>\n<li>and you would like this Blackboard course copied for use in 2019-20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>you need take <strong>no action<\/strong> \u2013 the course will be automatically copied forward as part of Course Rollover.<\/p>\n<p>The vast majority of Blackboard courses normally fall into this category.<\/p>\n<p>You can check if your course is already scheduled to be copied by searching the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/blackboard\/bbcopy\/Home\/Status\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Course Copy Status page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In all other cases you will need to use the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/blackboard\/bbcopy\/Home\/CopyRequest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Course Copy Request Form<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;to raise a request for a course to be copied.<\/p>\n<p>This form is now ready for use.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please see our support page for information on what action you need to take, if you are responsible for any of the following:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2018\/08\/17\/course-rollover-requests\/#module-not-run\"><strong>Modules which did not run in 2018-19<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2018\/08\/17\/course-rollover-requests\/#new\"><strong>Brand new modules<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2018\/08\/17\/course-rollover-requests\/#new-code\"><strong>Modules with a new RISIS code<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2018\/08\/17\/course-rollover-requests\/#merged\"><strong>Merged Courses<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2018\/08\/17\/course-rollover-requests\/#supp\"><strong>Supplementary courses<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2018\/08\/17\/course-rollover-requests\/\">Course Rollover page<\/a> on our help site also provides information on which parts of a course are copied during rollover.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Course rollover is the annual process whereby Blackboard courses from the current academic year are copied for use in the next academic year.
