{"id":4671,"date":"2019-08-05T11:05:06","date_gmt":"2019-08-05T11:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/?p=4590"},"modified":"2019-12-16T14:52:27","modified_gmt":"2019-12-16T14:52:27","slug":"blackboard-upgrade-complete-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/2019\/08\/05\/blackboard-upgrade-complete-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer 2019 Blackboard upgrade complete"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blackboard&nbsp;has been&nbsp;successfully upgraded, and you can now log in again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who like to know such things, we are now on Blackboard 9.1, Q2 2019 release, Cumulative Update 2.<\/p>\n<p>You will notice little change in the new release, but it incorporates over 200 bug fixes, and there are additional behind-the-scenes changes designed to improve security and performance.<\/p>\n<p>One change which will be more apparent to students is that \u2013 because we use the UK English language pack \u2013 when they access the \u2018My Grades\u2019 screen this now appears as \u2018My Marks\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>This does not automatically change the name of the link on your course menu, but before the start of term we plan to ask Blackboard to update the \u2018My Grades\u2019 link on all 2019-20 courses to \u2018My Marks and Feedback\u2019.
