All previous marking annotations will now appear in the new marking window.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackboard Annotate<\/strong> is similar to the previous marking interface, but offers improvements for providing different types of marking and feedback:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Freehand drawing and shape tools, featuring a variety of formatting options such as colours, weights, opacity etc.<\/li>\n<li>Higher fidelity and responsiveness to pen\/stylus users and touch screen devices.<\/li>\n<li>In-line grading for a wider range of file types, such as HEICs and .psd (see the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Assignments\/Grade_Assignments\/Bb_Annotate\">full list of supported file types<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Ability to add reusable comments via a new \u2018content library\u2019 (NB: content library cannot yet be exported or shared between markers).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before marking, we recommend that you familiarise yourself with Bb Annotate:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Visit the TEL Support site for a quick video tour:\u00a0<\/strong><strong style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><a style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2020\/07\/07\/blackboard-assignments-inline-marking-with-bb-annotate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bb Annotate video and TEL Support article<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Read the <\/strong><a style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/2020\/08\/10\/blackboard-annotate-quick-start-faqs\/\"><strong>Quick Start FAQs<\/strong><\/a> <strong style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">on the TEL Support site\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">for information about migrated papers and essential tips for using the new marking features.
