phase 2: mapping

Phase 2 builds on phase 1 but seeks to identify where in the curriculum these skills exist, and how they are taught at present.

Capability mapping:

Identify where those skills are already taught in the curriculum

It is important to:

1. Acknowledge if and how phase 1 recommendations were taken forward by the school
2. Map the skills shortlist to the existing curriculum
3. Identify pedagogical good practice
4. Generate ideas about teaching strategies and constructive alignment (learning objective/authentic assessment)
5. Publish phase 2 recommendations and submit to curriculum board

1. Awareness of where skills exist within the current Curriculum
2. Identification of good practice
3. An audit of strengths and a roadmap for development
