phase 2: mapping
Phase 2 builds on phase 1 but seeks to identify where in the curriculum these skills exist, and how they are taught at present.
Capability mapping:
Identify where those skills are already taught in the curriculum
It is important to:
- Acknowledge if and how phase 1 recommendations were taken forward by the school
- Map the skills shortlist to the existing curriculum
- Identify pedagogical good practice
- Generate ideas about teaching strategies and constructive alignment (learning objective/authentic assessment)
- Publish phase 2 recommendations and submit to curriculum board
