Engaging in research discussions

Design learning activities within sessions and modules which involve students engaging in research discussions with each other
Invite students to staff-led tutorials and discussions
Set students tasks which involve them interacting with a researcher, e.g. emailing the author of a research project or paper
Encourage students to participate in online research discussions e.g. in Blackboard discussion boards and Blackboard Collaborate webinars
Set up discussion fora for students to engage in research discussions with their peers
Design opportunities for students to write, review and discuss papers on research topics and processes, either face to face or using online tools such as blogs and wikis
Initiate a student journal club
