Blackboard Communication
Blackboard provides the central hub for online communication with your modules (alongside the University email platform, Microsoft Outlook).
Key information
You will see notifications from your Courses and Organisations via the Blackboard Activity Stream, for example, when marks and feedback are released, an Announcement is sent or a new Discussion board is available.
If you need to take part in Live Online Sessions, these are accessed via a link in your Blackboard Course or Organisation. The video conference platforms available are Blackboard Collaborate and Microsoft Teams Meetings.
How it works
1. Check your Blackboard Activity Stream
2. Adjust your Notification settings
3. Download the Blackboard Mobile App
If you have a technical query, use this Blackboard Help Request Form to ensure that your question is addressed by the appropriate person as promptly as possible.
