This guide relates only to assignments created using the new Turnitin LTI assignment tool.
Download a Rubric via the Feedback Studio
1. To download a rubric, go into any Blackboard course where you have a Turnitin assignment which has papers submitted to it. This could be a test assignment on your practice course.
2. Click on the assignment title, which will open in the Assignment inbox. Click on a submitted paper.
3. In the Feedback Studio open the Rubric Marking panel by clicking on the rubric icon. In the panel click on the Settings cog in the top left-hand corner.
4. The Feedback Studio version of the Rubric Manager will launch with the currently attached rubric open.
5. If you wish to select a different rubric, locate the rubric that you want to export by hovering over Rubric Library in the menu.
6. Select the rubric you want from the list.
7. Once the rubric you wish to export is showing in the manager screen, open the menu and select Download.
8. Depending on your browser the file may be downloaded immediately to your computer (Chrome), or you should follow the on screen instructions in the dialogue box that opens to ‘Save File’.
The file is given the name of the rubric and the file format of ‘.rbc’. You can send this file to a colleague to import into their rubric manager library.
Upload a Rubric
1. To download a rubric, go into any Blackboard course where you have a Turnitin assignment which has papers submitted to it. This could be a test assignment on your practice course.
2. Click on the assignment title, which will open in the Assignment inbox. Click on a submitted paper.
3. In the Feedback Studio open the Rubric Marking panel by clicking on the rubric icon. In the panel click on the Settings cog in the top left-hand corner.
4. The Feedback Studio version of the Rubric Manager will launch with the currently attached rubric open.
5. Click on the menu icon and select Upload Rubric/Grading Form the Upload rubric/grading form will open.
6. On the upload screen you will be given the options to either drag and drop or browse for the rubric you wish to upload. The accepted file types are .rbc, .xls and .xlsx.
7. When the file has successfully uploaded a green tick icon will show in the upload screen. You can then close the window.
8. The uploaded rubric will be available in your personal library. To check this return to the Rubric Manager menu and hover over Rubric Library.
Alternatively you can use the Rubric Manager accessed via the Turnitin Assignment Settings page to Import and Export rubrics.
