Access to the Campus Pack tools in Blackboard is ending on 31 July 2021
(This does not apply to Canvas in Henley Business School – see information below.)
You should not start using Campus Pack or plan to use it in the future. The TEL Team have directly contacted staff who have been using Campus Pack in their Blackboard modules to make them aware and assist them to use existing alternative tools.
Why is it being withdrawn?
Campus Pack was originally purchased at a time when Blackboard did not have its own wiki, blog and journal features. Although Campus Pack had some advantages over the comparable Blackboard tools, it is no longer being developed or actively supported by the company. We are therefore ending our Campus Pack licence on 31 July.
Access to Campus Pack and all its content will end on this date.
Download content
If you have content in Campus Pack that you want to keep, then it can be downloaded.
Instructions for staff on how to download content from Campus Pack.
Students can also download their own content – please direct them to the student Campus Pack guide.
Campus Pack will provide us with a complete download of all – one zip file per course – to be held by DTS as an archive. Campus Pack content will be retained in accordance with the VLE retention schedule; therefore, any content created before the academic year 2013-14 will not be retained.
Henley Business School and access to Campus Pack in Canvas
Henley Business School is planning to purchase a separate licence to retain access to Campus Pack for a further year to use it in Canvas. This is to allow time to make alternative arrangements.
Do you use Campus Pack and have not been contacted by TEL?
If you are using any of the Campus Pack tools in your modules or organisations and have not already heard from us directly, please contact TEL via the DTS Service Desk: email dts@reading.ac.uk OR log a ticket on the DTS Self-Service Portal, so we can discuss your current use of Campus Pack and how to replace it for the next academic year.
