When reviewing assignments, you may wish to view a student’s attempt log to verify on-time submission, or track how long a test and test question took to complete.
Go to the assignment submissions via the content area or Gradebook.
On an individual student select the three dot menu and Attempt Log

Depending on the type of assignment you will have a varying amount of information.
Attempt log for Blackboard Assignment shows start and submission times. Total attempt time might be considered only if a student has technical issues and the attempt time is large, meaning they had this open for a long time.

Attempt log for test shows the total attempt time for the test.
Additionally, it shows:
- The date and time of when the test was started
- The date and time each question was started
- The time taken to answer each question
- The date and time the test was submitted.

Journals and discussions have no Attempt Log option, but are by nature structured to show the date and time students submitted each interaction.
