When moving your Tests from Blackboard original to Blackboard Ultra it may be cleaner to copy Test Question into Ultra and then create new Tests in Ultra using those questions. This is the case if your test uses unsupported functions such as the self-assessment option.
This is a two step process:
- Step 1: Create a question pool in original for your test
- Step 2: Copy the question pool into Ultra as a Question Bank
Create a question pool in original for your test
- In the original course go to Course Tools/Tests, Surveys and Pools/ then select Pools.
- On the Pools page select Build Pool from the top menu.
- In the Pool information screen add a name for your pool and submit (a).
- The Pool Canvas will open. Select the Find Questions option from the top menu (b).
- In the pop-up find questions window select your Test (c).
- Use the select all check box to select all the questions (d).
- Submit to add the questions to the Pool Canvas
- In the Pool Canvas click OK at the bottom of the screen to save.
Copy the question pool into Ultra as a Question Bank
- In your Ultra course open the course three dot menu in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select Copy Items.
- In the Copy Items screen find your original course and open the folder called Question Banks.
- Select the pool for your Test.
- Click Start Copy.
- The pool will copy into the Question Banks area on your Ultra course.
Once copied into Ultra as a Question Bank your questions can be added to tests using the Reuse questions or Pools options.
