Microsoft Teams meetings (for T&L)
Key Information
Teams meeting is a web conferencing tool for holding real-time online ‘virtual classroom’ sessions. Use the tool for live online teaching, seminars, tutorials and meetings with students.
Additionally, Teams meetings can be used to facilitate oral assessments such as student presentations, role play or other speaking and listening tasks.
Important: links to live online teaching must be displayed in the corresponding Blackboard course.
How it works?
There are two options for setting up Teams meetings and inviting students:
Option 1: via Outlook/Teams calendar. Invite student email addresses and/or copy the joining link (to paste into your preferred Blackboard location, anyone with the link can join).
Option 2: via the dedicated Blackboard integration. This provides a designated course area for scheduling/displaying Teams meeting joining links in one single location.
