  2. How to use this practice course – student facing instructions on how to get the best out of the practice course
  3. Online Exams – Instructions and support – reusable object which will be populated with information.
    • Practice area for exams using Turnitin

    • Practice area of MCQ and Essay type exams using Blackboard Tests
    • Practice area for exams using Gradescope

Please encourage your students to make use of the Online Exams Practice courses (which will be open for the duration of the exam period) to become familiar with generic instructions they will see, to identify and address early any technical problems they may have and to have an opportunity to practise a range of submission options (including submission of hand written exams).

Staff wishing to access a Practice area

Exams Officers who wish to have instructor access to the Practice area for their school can request this from their support centre team.

All Staff

If you wish to add yourself to any of these courses follow the instructions below to self-enrol. You will be added as a student, you will be able to see what the students see, but not be able to edit content.

By adding yourself as a student you will be able to show students the course during your class and encourage them to use this area to prepare for their online exam.

  1. Sign in to Blackboard.
  2. Return here and click on the relevant link.
  3. You will then see the Self-Enrolment screen – click Submit.
  4. Once submitted a Success message will appear – click OK.

Staff with access to an Admin panel

For staff who have access to courses within your schools, these courses have been added to the relevant hierarchy so you should be able to find them via the Admin panel.

When you have located the course in the admin panel you can add yourself as an instructor or teaching assistant using the Enrolment option.
