Our values

Community and collaboration

We work best together. We believe that effective and supportive working relationships, where all voices are heard and valued, lead to better outcomes for all. We work in partnership with employing organisations in which our trainees are based, to share responsibility, care and support, knowledge and experience.

Evidence-based

Research guides our work. It influences what we teach and how we teach it. We use effective training methods to develop trainees’ assessment and intervention techniques in a way that supports the best outcomes for people’s mental health and wellbeing. We train practitioners to use these evidence-based techniques with flexibility in a way that adapts and responds to the needs of a client.

Excellence and quality

We are driven to achieve excellence in our training programmes. We meet and maintain quality-assurance (Accrediting bodies and University standards) across our programmes. We regularly monitor trainee experience, seeking and responding to feedback in order to improve our delivery.

Inclusive and supportive

We the diversity of our students and our workforce, and the richness of ideas and experience that this brings. We aim to support every individual whatever their needs or circumstances to achieve their full potential.

Passion

We are passionate about what we do. This is demonstrated in the attitude of our staff, delivering both training and support with professionalism, openness and care.
