Self-Funded Training

The Charlie Waller Institute’s self-funded courses are designed to equip students primarily with a theoretical grounding in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), or to offer a self-funded route on adult clinical High-Intensity training.

Our courses are perfect for clinicians looking to build upon their existing knowledge or add CBT to their list of skills. Being taught by a range of national and international experts on CBT and other mental health interventions.

Students on the Postgraduate Certificate are provided with a great degree of flexibility to study at times and days that suit them. Students on the Postgraduate Diploma will join the adult clinical High-Intensity training timetable.

Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatments

This part-time programme provides practitioners with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and develop skills which can be put into clinical practice. It can also be used to provide a foundation to further study in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. However, please note that this programme on its own will not allow you to become a BABCP accredited practitioner; it may however improve your eligibility to apply for BABCP accredited training programmes (such as our Postgraduate Diploma below).  Topics covered by this programme include fundamentals of CBT theory, anxiety disorders, cognitive interventions in CBT and more.
