You can take part in Big Schools’ Birdwatch, running from January 8th until February 19th. So there is plenty of time to get involved.
Big Schools Birdwatch is a simple bird survey for pupils to take part in and enjoy together.
This activity is about counting the number of birds in school grounds. It only takes an hour, so one lesson or lunchtime is ideal. The results also contribute to Big Garden Birdwatch – the world’s largest wildlife survey.
#BigSchoolsBirdwatch is an excellent time to take the #classroomoutdoors and use these resources to teach your children more about the world around them and incorporate some Climate and Sustainability Education (#CASE) teaching.
The Big Schools’ Birdwatch 2024 website offers an abundance of free resources you can request and have sent to you, or download directly and use in school.
