This guide relates only to assignments created using the new Turnitin LTI assignment tool.
It can become difficult to find individual papers in the Turnitin Assignment Inbox when there are large numbers of students on the module.
There are a few features which make it possible to find specific papers.
Search
There is a search box at the top of the Assignment Inbox. This will allow searches for any of the criteria:
- Author name
- Paper Title
- Paper ID
- Uploaded (date & time)
- Grade
- Similarity
The search acts like a filter showing only those submissions that match the search text or numbers.
Sort by heading
By clicking on the heading for each column it is possible to sort by:
- Author name
- Paper Title
- Paper ID
- Uploaded (date & time)
- Grade (will still work when Anonymity is on)
- Similarity
Filter by Group
When there are groups set up in the course an extra box will appear at the top of the Assignment Inbox with the text All Students.
This is a filter that will show, in the inbox, only the students that are members of selected group, “all students” or any of groups on the course, which will be listed in the drop down list.
This function can be used when there are multiple markers, please see our guide Handling Multiple Markers for more details.
Marking by Group is covered in this video:
