When managing Turnitin and Blackboard assignments, some Schools prefer to have separate submission points:
- one for work submitted on time
- one for work submitted after the deadline (whether late or with an agreed extension).
As part of the EMA Integration, rules for the creation of on-time and post-deadline submission points are programmed into RISIS.
This has been done at Departmental level – so a consistent approach is taken on modules across the whole Department (and in most cases there is consistency across the whole School). It is not possible to choose a different setting for an individual module or assessment.
When Yes is chosen for ‘Create post-deadline submission point?’ the integration will create
- on-time and post-deadline Gradebook columns for Turnitin assignments
(for the settings to be applied, see Set up a Turnitin Assignment) - on-time and post-deadline Blackboard assignments, with appropriate visibility settings
(for the settings applied, see Schools with On-time & Post-deadline submission points: Blackboard assignments and Schools with single submission points: Blackboard assignments)
Please note: this applies only to Turnitin and Blackboard assignments.
Post-deadline submission points and columns are NEVER created for other Modes of Submission such as Tests and Presentations.
The table below is a summary of the more detailed Department-level information held in RISIS.
If you have a query please contact the RISIS team.
