The Notetaker role in Blackboard is designed to enable easy access to learning materials and course announcements for those providing notetaking support to DAS registered students. The Notetaker role should now be used instead of the Guest role, which is no longer supported in Ultra.
The role permits users to:
- View and download learning materials from Blackboard courses.
- Watch recorded content published to YuJa.
- Receive Announcements from Blackboard courses.
Please note: users enrolled as Notetakers will be able to submit to Turnitin submission points, and will appear in the Turnitin assignment inboxes for a course. However, they won’t appear in the Gradebook.
The Notetaker role can be selected when enrolling a user onto a course either within the class register or via the admin panel.
