This four-day course will cover complex (type II) trauma from both childhood and adulthood experiences. It will review the differential impact of multiple, repeated and prolonged trauma on neuropsychological development, attachment and cognition, including difficulties associated with Complex PTSD (C-PTSD).

Trauma – Foundation Trauma (Online)
This 4-day module is designed to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of psychological theories and of the current evidence-based interventions for treating PSTD. Students will gain skills in the assessment and formulation of PTSD as well as in specific therapeutic Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) techniques in working with PTSD, as recommended by the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).
