The Charlie Waller Institute, in collaboration with Charlie Waller Trust, are offering the Department of Education approved Senior Mental Health Leads training to all educational settings across the country, with our remote CPD offer.

We are now excited to announce that we are ready to take bookings on our Spring 2022 course starting from April. Please follow the steps below to access our training.

Apply for DfE grant of £1,200 and quote our course code: SMHL075

You may need to access training prior to 31st May (as outlined by the DfE grant funding) which we are able to offer if you sign up now.

Step 2

Book a place on our course at the cost of £800 per delegate.

Format of training:

Total: 40 hours of CPD plus optional top up live sessions.

Coaching for each delegate – up to 2 hours.

Introduction- Live half-day online session. The 8 online modules below are accessed via Blackboard (online portal). Delegates will have access to:

Pre-recorded webinars from a range of professionals who have experience in Mental Health and Wellbeing roles, discussing their knowledge and skills

Resources which include the most up to date evidence-based, as well as best practise, practical examples

A discussion board to connect with members of the University Programme team, as well as other Senior Mental Health Leads on the course

Remote meeting rooms to allow access to other Senior Mental Health Leads

Access to a coach for up to 2 hours to enable support with ensuring practical applications into your educational settings, of a whole school/college approach to Mental Health and Wellbeing

  4. Curriculum, teaching and learning
  5. Staff Development
  6. Working with parents/carers
  7. Targeted Support and Appropriate Referrals
