An Introduction to Play Therapy – Thursday 13th October: 3.45pm – 4.45pm, L10 G03 lab London Road Campus

Are you a staff member or student with an interest in children’s mental health? Are you a student who likes working with children, but isn’t sure if teaching is for them?  Are you just curious as to what Play Therapy actually is?

If the answer, to any of these is yes, then this session will be of interest to you.  Led by the IoE’s Dan James (and trainee play therapist), the session will comprise an introductory talk explaining what Play Therapy is and why there is a need for it.  We will then move on to do a short experiential activity in the sand tray so that you can experience the power of symbolism and metaphor in play.

If you would like to attend, please register with the Teams link below, so that Dan can have an indication of numbers to ensure sufficient resources.

Please note: this is a face-to-face session and due to the nature of the content and copyright issues, no online access will be made available.
