Nadin Marsovski, a Classics Research Fellow and an alumni of the University of Reading is seeking the expert advice and feedback from teachers and colleagues on the Reading Ancient Schoolroom an interactive, experiential learning experience for children.

Dear Teachers,

I wanted to seek your expertise and valuable feedback regarding the Reading Ancient Schoolroom.

The Reading Ancient Schoolroom experience is an immersive journey for primary and secondary students, offering an authentic glimpse into the ancient world. The students step back in time as they enter a meticulously recreated ancient classroom, where they wear Roman costumes and utilize replica ancient writing tools like wax tablets, styluses, reed pens, inkwells, ostraca, and papyrus. Drawing on extensive research, most of it conducted at the University of Reading, this unique educational opportunity allows students to engage in exercises that mirror those commonly practiced in ancient schools. While primarily conducted in English, Latin and Greek options are also available upon request.

We greatly value your input and insights as an educator. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to explore the website Reading Ancient School Room and share your feedback with us.

Based on this site, would you want to bring the ancient schoolroom to your school? Why or why not?

Your feedback will play a crucial role in refining our presence and ensuring that we are able to reach out to more schools.

Please feel free to provide your feedback by email nadin.marsovszki@reading.ac.uk or by Microsoft Form

If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you in advance for your support and contribution.

Best wishes,

Nadin Marsovszki
