Adult clinic

Thank you for your patience over the last year whilst our adult clinic service has been in a period of redevelopment. We have worked hard to enhance the services we offer, ensuring that what we are providing is evidence based and is a better experience for clients and their families.

To attend our clinic you / the adult you support must:

  • Be able to travel to our clinic
  • Be happy for students to be involved in every aspect of the SLT journey, including observation, involvement in or running of sessions and liaison with your child’s education setting and other professionals
  • Live in an area with an RG postcode
  • Be aged 18 or over

Our pathways are delivered by student speech and language therapists who are closely supervised by qualified specialist speech and language therapists.

We are actively managing our caseload and we only recruit to the pathways available for the next semester.

We offer one-to-one sessions and group sessions for people who have communication difficulties after a stroke, and for people who stammer.

You can click the links below to find out more and see how to make a referral.

Please note that we don’t accept referrals for urgent eating, drinking or swallowing difficulties, ongoing management of long term progressive neurological disease, mental health needs or dementia. If you are worried about any of these things, please contact your GP.
