Set up YuJa for the first-time use

Create your YuJa account

YuJa accounts are created via the integration with Blackboard. To set up your account:

  • Log in to Blackboard.
  • Open a course on which you are an instructor.
  • Click Videos (YuJa channel):
  • There’ll be a short delay while the integration sets up your account.
  • This process will simultaneously create a new course channel in YuJa (if one doesn’t already exist). It will also create a link between your new YuJa account and the course channel, giving you instructor privileges to publish content to the channel. For guidance on publishing videos to course channel, see our page Make videos available with YuJa.

Link YuJa to your new Blackboard modules

  • If you are working with a new module on Blackboard, or this is your first time publishing to a module’s channel, you’ll need to click on the Blackboard module’s Video (YuJa channel) link in Blackboard before publishing:
  • This will create the channel (if one doesn’t already exist) and ensure the right module codes are listed when you publish.
  • You only need to carry out these steps once for each module you’re teaching on.
