Where to access your Blackboard Collaborate recordings

Blackboard Collaborate will be retired on Monday 23rd June 2025. While the tool itself will no longer be available, we’ve ensured that you can still access your past session recordings.

Access to a recording depends on when it was made.

Recordings made before August 2023

These recordings are accessible via the Recordings Library link in the corresponding Blackboard Original course or organisation.

To access these recordings:

  1. Go to the relevant Blackboard Original course or organisation.
  2. From the Course Menu, click Recordings Library:
  1. Choose Collaborate Recordings:
  1. Your recording will play in YuJa. You may need to authenticate in YuJa before proceeding.

Recordings made after August 2023

These have been automatically transferred to YuJa and are available in a folder in your Media Library. You do not need to access these through Blackboard.

To access them in YuJa:

  1. Go to https://reading.yuja.com/
  2. Your recordings are located in a folder called My Blackboard Collaborate Recordings in your My Media area:

Can’t find your recording?

If you’re unable to locate a specific recording in either location, please raise a support ticket and we’ll be happy to help investigate.

If there are any Collaborate recordings that are particularly important to you, we recommend checking as soon as possible that they are available in one of the above locations. You may also wish to download a copy for your own records.
