Get Together

One of the funded Staff Welfare Projects; ‘Get Together’ is a event for staff to meet new colleagues and learn something interesting in a relaxed, friendly environment.

The first event was held on May 2nd with close to 400 colleagues dropping in between 10.00AM and 1.30PM.

The second event was held to launch Wellbeing Week, another Staff Welfare Project, organised in a collaboration between Staff Forum and Occupational Health Services.

Between 10:00 and 13:30, people dropped in to learn something new, see something new or just say hello. The School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences (SMPCS) ran demonstrations, colleagues from Estates gave tours of University buildings and lots of free tea & coffee was consumed!

“What a brilliant event!”

“Do it again soon”

“Loved research showcase”

“A great way to meet new people”

“Awesome initiative!”

“Really great event with lovely friendly people”

Just a handful of the comments written by some of the colleagues who attended ‘Get Together’ on 2 May. If you weren’t able to make it – we hope to see you next time!
