Insert Video Content using YuJa

YuJa is a Learning Capture tool used to record in-class lectures, making screencasts and to provide video storage for teaching and learning.

In Blackboard Learn Ultra there are two YuJa LTI tools Videos (YuJa channel) (creates a link to YuJa) and Insert Video (YuJa) (formally YuJa Media Chooser) (allows you insert YuJa videos into the course) this guide covers Insert Video (YuJa) please see our guide YuJa Video to create a link to YuJa on your course

If you wish for specific personal capture or non-recorded video content to be embeded within the course content you can use the Insert Video (YuJa) option:

To add your YuJa area to the course content area click the plus sign and select Content Market

Select the video from the list. Or search for the video if not immediately visible.

You can also upload the video at this point if you wish to upload content this way.

Click Insert Content

Your video will present as a named link in the content area. When opened it will present a full page video.

You may wish to present a video as part of a document alongside other content.

Create a Document and choose Add Content – See our guide on creating a document

In the content editor select the Plus Menu and Content Market

Select Insert Video (YuJa)

Select the video from the list. Or search for the video if not immediatly visible. You can also upload the video at this point if you wish to upload content this way.

A pop up will ask you to confirm or change the display name for the video in the item. You can then select Insert.

The video will present as displayed and you can add any further text around the video. Click Save when done.

We recommend that any further text or documents can be added in other areas of the document to make a more comprehensive learning item.
