Class Collaborate

Key Information

Class Collaborate is a web conferencing tool for holding real-time online ‘virtual classroom’ sessions with your students, wherever they are located. You can run interactive seminars, tutorials or meetings with your students. 

The webinars are set up, accessed and delivered from within the Blackboard virtual learning environment. Anyone external to the institution is able to join using a guest web link. 

Class Collaborate is only available to use on Blackboard Ultra courses until August 2024/5 academic year.

How it works?

Class Collaborate is integrated into your Blackboard Ultra course and provides a course room and ability to set up scheduled sessions. In these sessions you can:

• Share slides, videos, whiteboard etc.
• Annotate slides and whiteboard
• Use breakout groups
• View insights on student activity
• Monitor attendance
• Run polls
• Record sessions (which are automatically saved to YuJa)
