Groups

Group sets can be set-up on your Blackboard Ultra course and used in various ways. Enrolment into Group sets can be done manually, automatically or by self-enrol.

Key information

Blackboard groups are a way of organising students on a course. Students can belong to more than one group at a time and groups can be set up for many different purposes including Bb Assignments, Tests and Discussions, Turnitin inbox filter and emailing via the Messages function.

How it works?

Groups in Blackboard Ultra are created and managed on the Groups page. All groups belong to a group set, but it is not necessary to assign every student to a group. Students can only be in one group within a group set, and there is no limit to the number of group sets you can create on a course.
