Groups

Group sets can be set-up on your Blackboard Ultra course and used in various ways. Group sets can be Custom, Random or Self-enrol.

Key information

Blackboard groups are a way of organising students on a course. Students can belong to more than one group at a time and groups can be set up for many different purposes including Bb Assignments, Tests and Discussions, Turnitin inbox filter and emailing via the Messages function.

How it works?

Groups in Blackboard Learn Ultra are set up on the Groups page. All groups are group sets where not all students are required to be assigned to a group. Student can only be in one group within a group set, however, there is no limit to the number of group set you can set up on the course.
