The University of Reading is launching its 2024 Spring Telephone Fundraising Campaign. Taking place from 5-25 February, this campaign is focused on connecting with our alumni community and raising funds to support students at Reading.
Every year we call our alumni to ask for your help to support our students through our Telephone Fundraising Campaign. This year, 45 of our students will be supporting us to deliver the campaign. This provides an opportunity for our current students and alumni to share experiences of their time at Reading – giving you an insight into life here today, whilst also providing our current students with an invaluable opportunity to learn from the experiences of our graduates.
Alumni support every stage of the student journey – funding scholarships, wellbeing projects, internships, and emergency hardship funding. The support our students receive is crucial to them being able to continue their education, ensuring the next generation of brilliant young minds – regardless of their background or financial circumstances – have the chance to complete their studies.
Will, an undergraduate student at the University, tells CONNECTED why he has chosen to be part of this campaign:
“I have had a brilliant start to my time at Reading and I wanted to do something to support other students. By being part of this campaign, not only do I have the opportunity to engage with our alumni and learn more about their life since graduating, but to also raise donations to aid students who may need support to complete their studies.”
All donations truly make a difference to those students at Reading who need it the most – ensuring they can complete their studies and are able to make the most of their time at University.
Our Spring Telephone Fundraising Campaign will run from 5–25 February. If you would prefer not to receive a call, please email giving@reading.ac.uk. Thank you.
