One global family
In August 2025 the University of Reading Malaysia celebrated their graduations for over 120 students. UK-based members of staff from the University were delighted to join in the celebrations.
Dr Caroline Baylon, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), highlighted the ties between our global campuses. In particular, the significance of the timing, with next year marking both Reading’s centenary and the Malaysia campus’ 10-year anniversary.
Dr Baylon told graduates that they were:
“inheritors of that decade-long, and that century-long, legacy of excellence, innovation and impact.”
This summer’s graduation concludes a strong year for our Malaysia campus which opened in 2016 in Educity, Iskandar, and welcomed its first intake of 150 students. Now, 10 years later, led by Professor May Tan Mullins, Provost and Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement – ASEAN), the campus has recorded its highest ever number of student enrolments with 950 in 2024/25.
Our Malaysia campus offers undergraduate degrees in business, law, built environment and psychology, as well as pre-sessional English, international foundation programmes and doctoral programmes.
