YuJa – Learning Capture

YuJa is the University-supported platform for creating, editing, storing and sharing recordings for teaching and learning. It can be used to record live teaching sessions and to create video or audio teaching resources, such as screencasts and demonstrations.

YuJa is integrated with Blackboard and staff can publish recordings to a module’s YuJa channel or embed individual recordings within Blackboard. Students can access the recordings alongside their other learning materials.

ℹ️ See the Learning Capture page for recording expectations, teaching guidance and support.

Key Information

YuJa is available on PCs in YuJa-enabled teaching rooms. It can be installed on University-managed computers through Company Portal.

Use YuJa to record live teaching sessions or create resources such as screencasts and demonstrations. Videos created in other supported software, such as PowerPoint, can also be uploaded to YuJa.

How it works?

Recordings made with YuJa Software Capture are automatically uploaded to The My Media section of YuJa. Staff can then edit and publish them to module channels or embed them in Blackboard.

YuJa is for teaching and learning videos. Use OneDrive or SharePoint for other videos and general file storage.
