YuJa – Learning Capture

YuJa is the University’s chosen Learning Capture tool used to record in-class lectures, screencasts, and to provide storage for teaching and learning video resources. YuJa is fully integrated with Blackboard Learn Ultra, so that you can launch recordings, access your module channel and embed non-classroom based video content into your courses.

Key Information

YuJa Learning Capture is installed on all University machines and a can be downloaded via Company Portal on personal devices. The software can be used to record Teaching and Learning related videos in a classroom setting or shorter screencast recordings introducing or demonstrating a topic. When recording personal capture videos on alternative software, such as Powerpoint, the created video files can be uploaded to YuJa for full use in Blackboard.

How it works?

All recordings created using the YuJa Learning Capture application are automatically uploaded to YuJa. Academics can publish the recorded videos to their course channels and these are then accessed via Blackboard.

For non-Teaching and Learning related videos or for file storage please use other applications provide by the University (e.g. OneDrive or SharePoint).
