2024 Community Festival Alumni Events

The University of Reading’s Community Festival is returning for its second year and we are pleased to invite you to our exclusive alumni events on the day, including Campus Tours and an Alumni Drinks Reception.

Our free one-day, family-friendly festival is set to return to the University’s Whiteknights Campus on Saturday 18 May 2024.

For the first time this year you can also join our exclusive alumni events where you can meet with fellow alumni over drinks and nibbles, or relive your student years with our discounted University merchandise and campus tours. All our events are free but booking is mandatory – please book via the links below.

Alumni Drinks Reception

Blandford’s, Park House, Whiteknights Campus
12:30 – 14:00

Join us and mingle with your fellow alumni for drinks, snacks, live music and the chance to relive your student days with discounted University of Reading Merchandise at our Alumni Drinks Reception.

The reception is free of charge, but booking is mandatory. Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot now.

Whiteknights Campus Tours

Morning Tour: 11:30 – 12:30
Afternoon Tour: 14:30 – 15:30

Enjoy a guided tour of our Whiteknights Campus where you can relive your favourite university memories. We are offering two exclusive alumni tours of our beautiful campus – please feel free to register for friends or family to join you on the tour.

The Community Festival

Whiteknights Campus
11:00 – 17:00

The Community Festival will bring our local residents and our University community together for a day of outstanding live music, theatre and performance, street food and a packed programme of hands-on activities for children and grown-ups to get involved with.

The Community Festival will once again showcase some of the world-leading research currently taking place at the University in a range of easy-to-understand talks, workshops and interactive sessions for all age

Please ensure you register for either a campus tour or the Alumni Drinks Reception – or both – as well as expressing your interest for attending the Community Festival. The Community Festival and these alumni events are free of charge.
