These settings apply to all assessments directly created in Blackboard by the EMA Integration:
- Blackboard Assignments – including Group Assignments and Portfolio Assignments
- Blackboard Blogs
- Blackboard Journals
- Blackboard Wikis
Schools which have a single ontime and post-deadline submission point:
Number of Attempts unlimited
Display After date and time = due date and time as set in RISIS, minus 4 calendar weeks
These settings can be edited by the Programme Administrator.
Display Until date and time: None
There should not normally be any reason why you would want to set a Display Until date for this type of submission point.
Schools which have separate ontime and post-deadline submission points:
Ontime assignment
Number of Attempts unlimited
Display After date and time = due date-time as set in RISIS, minus 4 calendar weeks
These settings can be edited by the Programme Administrator.
Display Until date and time = due date-time as set in RISIS
Post-deadline assignment
Number of Attempts single
Display After date and time = due date-time as set in RISIS
(i.e. same as the ontime Display Until date and time)
These settings can be edited by the Programme Administrator.
Display Until date and time: None
There should not normally be any reason why you would want to set a Display Until date for this type of submission point.
If you change the due date for an assessment in RISIS, the Integration will then update the assessment in Blackboard. As well as updating the due date/time, it will also restore the default settings for * Display After * Display Until. In some circumstances, a submission point which had previously been visible to students will now become unavailable, and if necessary you'll have to manually change the settings in Blackboard.

Anonymous Marking
This is not controlled by the Integration.
Blackboard assessments created by the EMA Integration are set to be marked with student names showing (i.e. Anonymity is switched off).
This setting can be edited by the Programme Administrator – if work is to be marked anonymously, be sure to turn on Anonymity before students start submitting.
