Developing Student Assessment Literacy through Assessment Criteria and Rubrics
5 June 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Assessment literacy is the capability of staff and students to make sense of assessments, particularly the standards and criteria used to assess student work, to enable students to effectively progress in their learning. Developing student assessment literacy is also important for: creating an inclusive learning environment; supporting student transition to and progression through higher education; building student self-regulatory skills and confidence in relation to assessment. This session will provide an opportunity for colleagues to reflect on and share practices around ways to develop student assessment literacy, including through the design and use of assessment rubrics used to mark student work. This session aligns with A1, A2, A3, A4, K3, V1, V2 of the UKPSF
